We’re excited to announce that IdeaTek will be acquiring the Kansas operations of Rise Broadband – your current internet service provider. Starting Nov. 1, you will officially become an IdeaTek customer and can enjoy reliable wireless internet services. 

About IdeaTek:

Celebrating its 25th year in business, IdeaTek was founded in 1999 by five friends while attending Buhler High School.  IdeaTek continues its mission for Internet Freedom today with a goal to bring ultra-fast, reliable internet to all corners of Kansas. Today, the company employs over 160 Kansans and continues to grow. IdeaTek has deployed over 6,500 miles of fiber and built 150 fixed wireless towers, serving customers in 110 Kansas communities.

What this means to you:

• Uninterrupted service: Your internet service will continue uninterrupted.

• Network upgrades, improved reliability and faster speeds: We’ll be working to modernize Rise’s network by transitioning towers to 100% fiber-fed infrastructure. Our cutting-edge wireless technology gives customers speeds of up to 150 Mbps. 

• Seamless transition: Our local team is working to ensure a smooth transition from Rise to IdeaTek. As infrastructure and service upgrades are performed, we will contact you to discuss our service plans. 

Next Steps:

• Watch for your welcome email: We’ll be sending you a welcome email from ecare@ideatek.com with instructions for how to register and access the IdeaTek E-Care billing portal in the next few days.

• Update your payment information: Once you receive the welcome email and have registered your E-Care account, log into your E-Care portal to review your account details and sign up for autopay. Please note: You will need to set up autopay with IdeaTek, even if you had this service as a Rise customer. Complete this within 24 hours of receipt. If the link expires, visit the E-Care login page and follow the password reset steps. 

• Balances on or after Oct. 31: All outstanding balances due to Rise Broadband will be transferred to IdeaTek.

• Payment options: You can make payments online through the E-Care portal or by mailing a check to:
